Fix or delete a payment entered wrong
Correct the amount, date, method, status, description or notes on a payment you have already recorded — or remove it.
Steps
Correct it
Find the payment on Payments.
Tap the pencil on its row, or open the payment and tap Edit. Edit Payment opens.
Change Amount (₹), Date, Method, Status, Description or Notes.
Tap Save Changes. A green "Payment updated." appears.
Delete it
Tap the bin on its row, or open the payment and tap Delete.
A box asks "Delete payment for name? This cannot be undone." Confirm.
Good to know
Editing a payment does not touch the member. If you correct a renewal's amount, or delete the renewal entirely, the member's expiry date stays exactly where the renewal put it. The two are not linked once the payment is saved. Fix the member's dates separately from their page if you need to.
You cannot change which member a payment belongs to. The member is not on the edit form at all. If it went against the wrong person, delete it and record it again for the right one.
Status is the one field with three real options: Completed, Pending and Failed.
Completed counts towards Collected in your totals.
Pending is shown separately and never counted as collected.
Failed is counted nowhere — use it for a bounced cheque or a reversed transfer you want to keep a record of.
Marking a payment Pending or Failed does not claw back a membership. If a renewal payment failed, you have to shorten the member's expiry date yourself from Edit Member.
A payment left Pending for more than a week shows up in the bell in the bottom-left corner, so overdue money doesn't get quietly forgotten.
Deleting is permanent and there is no record of what was deleted. If in doubt, set it to Failed instead — it stays visible, stops counting, and can be explained by its notes.
Changing the date moves the payment between months. A payment redated to last month disappears from your This Month view and changes both months' totals. That is correct, and it surprises people.
The receipt picture cannot be changed here. It can only be attached when the payment is first recorded.

When it doesn't work
"Failed to update payment. Please try again." Nothing changed. The box stays open with your edits in it — tap Save Changes again.
"Failed to delete payment. Please try again." Nothing was deleted. Reload and try again.
The payment vanished from the list after you edited it. You changed the date to outside the period you are looking at. Set the period filter to All Time to find it.
You fixed a renewal's amount but your revenue total didn't change. Check which period you are looking at — the totals at the bottom of the list only cover what is currently filtered.
You deleted a duplicate and the total is still too high. There may be more than two. Search the member's name with the period set to All Time and look at the whole history.
You deleted a payment and the member is still marked Paid. Correct — the member's payment badge is a separate label that deleting does not undo. Change it from Edit Member.
