Edit a member's details
Change a name, phone, plan, expiry date, payment status, photo, notes or assigned trainer.
Steps
There are two ways in, and they edit the same things.
Quick edit, from the list
Go to Members. Find the person.
Tap the pencil on their row. Edit Member opens over the list.
Change what you need and tap Save Changes. A green "Member updated." appears and the list refreshes underneath.
From the member's own page
Tap the member's row to open their page.
Tap Edit Member at the top.
Change what you need and tap Save Changes.
Good to know
Expiry Date is a free date field here. Unlike the Add Member form, nothing is calculated for you — whatever you type is what the member gets. This is the place to fix a date that went in wrong. It is not the place to add time to a paying member; use Extend Plan for that, so the days get added to what they already have.
Changing the Plan does not change the expiry date. They are two independent fields on this screen. Move someone from Monthly to Quarterly and their expiry stays exactly where it was until you change it yourself.
The Plan dropdown only lists plans that still exist. If this member is on a plan you deleted or renamed, their old plan name is added to the bottom of the list so you don't lose it by accident. Leave it alone and it stays; pick something else and it's gone.
Only active trainers appear under Assigned Trainer. Someone whose staff record is not Active, or who isn't a Trainer, will not be in the list.
Join Date is not editable after the member is created. Neither screen offers it.
Notes is a single line in the quick edit and holds anything you want — locker number, medical note, who referred them.
Photos replace, they don't stack. Change Photo swaps the picture; Remove clears it.
To change several members at once, tap Actions at the top of the list. Checkboxes appear on every row. Tick who you want, then use Update Status to set Paid, Pending or Complimentary on all of them, or Extend Plan to add days to all of them. Tap Cancel to come out of it. Bulk editing cannot change anything else — no plan, no trainer, no phone.

When it doesn't work
"Failed to update member. Please try again." Nothing saved. The modal stays open with your changes still in it, so tap Save Changes again rather than retyping.
"Image upload failed — saving other changes without the new photo." Everything except the photo saved. Reopen the edit and try the photo on its own; a smaller picture usually works.
The bulk buttons look faded and nothing happens when you tap them. You have not ticked anyone yet. Tapping tells you so — "Select at least one member to perform this action."
You ticked members, then typed in the search box, and your ticks disappeared. That is deliberate — searching or changing a filter clears the selection so you never act on rows you can no longer see. Filter first, then tick.
The member still shows the old details after saving. The list updates by itself, so this is usually two people editing the same member at once. Reload the page to see what actually saved.
You changed the expiry date and the status badge didn't change. It does, but it follows the date — check the date actually saved. See Understand member status.
